2019 safety Dorian Hewett verbally commits to Syracuse

Syracuse added its ninth commit of the of the 2019 recruiting class as safety Dorian Hewett verbally committed to the Orange, he announced via Twitter on Saturday afternoon.

He is listed at 5-11 and 180 pounds, per 247 Sports, and can play safety or cornerback. A Houston native from North Shore (Texas) Senior High School, Hewett participated in a camp for Syracuse and ran the fastest time at the camp, a 4.44 40-yard dash, per 247 Sports.
He is the second safety commit for the Orange, and the third commit to the secondary along with 3-star cornerback Adrian Cole and 3-star safety Cornelius Nunn. Hewett can sign a letter of intent in December.
