Syracuse football recruiting: Class of 2018 3-star running back Jarveon Howard reportedly commits to SU

Three-star running back Jarveon Howard announced his commitment to Syracuse on an official visit last weekend. Syracuse.com first reported the commitment.
Howard is the 22nd commitment in Syracuse’s 2018 class and the fourth running back added during the recruiting cycle. According to the report, Howard called Syracuse a “home away from home” and plans to sign next Wednesday on National Signing Day.

A native of Missouri, Howard is the 50th-ranked running back in the 2018 class and the 13th best player in his state, per 247sports.com. As a senior at East Marion (Missouri) High School, Howard accumulated 1,508 yards on the ground on just 118 carries, good for a 12.8 yard per carry average. His 21 touchdowns led his team.
