Syracuse forward Rylee McLeod was named the Atlantic Hockey America Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday. The honor comes following SU’s two-game series sweep of Stonehill to open the 2024-25 season. McLeod finished the two-game set with a +3 plus/minus rating and 14 faceoff wins.

In the Orange’s 4-0 victory in game one against Stonehill, McLeod was held off the scoreboard. However, she still managed to tally three shots and won 10-of-15 faceoffs.

In game two, another 4-0 win for SU, McLeod struggled in the faceoff circle but made up for it on the scoresheet. She earned the primary assist on Charli Kettyle’s first goal and sealed SU’s sweep of the Skyhawks with a goal of her own early in the third period.
