Gas leak in Ernie Davis Dining Center closes facility for Wednesday morning breakfast
Ernie Davis Dining Center will not be open for breakfast Wednesday morning due to mechanical difficulties, according to a Syracuse University Housing e-mail sent to students Tuesday afternoon.
A sign at the dining center’s main desk notified students there would be no hot food served due to a gas leak. Hot food service will resume once the problem has been fixed, according to the notice.
The dining center was supposed to be open on Wednesday for breakfast between 7 and 10 a.m., and then closed until Sunday because of the Thanksgiving break. Shaw Dining Hall, normally open until 7:30 p.m. on weekdays, was open until 9 p.m. on Tuesday in response to the closure, according to the e-mail.
